i have question about vsphere 5.1 replication feature, consider a scenario in one site, one vcenter instance and 2 host. configure one of VM for replication. this VM is located on datastore1(on ESXI1). we configure replication for this VM to datastore2(on ESXI2). i start replication, after replica become sync with source, i delete source VM. after deleting source VM there was no way to recover source VM with replica. i want to know is it limitation of replication feature or no? so, for replication perform correctly is it true that source VM must be available and must not be deleted to recovey feature work correctly?
