Hi Kermic, sorry for the late reply.
I have got a funny feeling that the old vm is still up and running as the ssh is going to the old vm (but the old vm is no where found in the inventory). VMware technical support said so migrate all the vm to another vmware host and reboot the host in question.
Haven't got aorund doing this yet
