VMware won't recognize VT

Hi there!

I've Googled the shit out of this and I'm struggling to find answers.  I've tried several suggestions on this board, but and having no luck.  I beg the VMware gurus of this fine community to help me!

I've enabled VT on my motherboard and I've quadruple checked that my processor supports this through the Intel utility.  I actually can't disable VT, the option is grayed out.  But whenever I try to run a VM, it gives me an error about long mode not being enabled on my system.  I've tried checking the box in the Workstation GUI for virtualizing VT as well as modifying the configuration file with several different switches, but I've had no luck.  I've included my system specs below and linked to a few pictures which will hopefully shed some light.

My current theroy: when looking at the VMware process in the task manager, I noticed that they are all running as 32 bit processes.  Could this be the problems and, if so, how do I fix it?

Thanks a ton!
