Re: Does anyone have a solution for running Workstation9 on openSuse12.1?

ok, so here's the solution. First of all, it's not about .c, but .h files obviously, second - vmware is looking in wrong subdirectories. Steps to make it work (verified in opensuse 12.3 with VM workstation 9):

1. install kernel-*-devel package for kernel flavour you use (e.g. kernel-desktop-devel)

2. as root link linux subdir directly to include:

sudo ln -s /usr/src/linux-3.7.10-1.1-obj/x86_64/desktop/include/generated/uapi/linux /usr/src/linux-3.7.10-1.1-obj/x86_64/desktop/include/

3. don't ask me why graphical version crashed on my box. I had to run it manually:

sudo /usr/bin/vmware-modconfig --install-all

done.
