Understanding Snapshot

I thought I had complete understanding of VMware snapshots

Could somebody please give me some kind of to the point answers instead of referring to some kb article (already read many for this question)

Can I GO TO some snapshot which exist ahead of my current position in snapshot tree ?

For ex.

WIN XP

------Snapshot 1

       -------Snapshot 2

              U R HERE

              --------Snapshot 3

Can I now go to Snapshot 3 again ?

If it is possible, won't it create data corruption because the changes in snapshot 3 might not be in sync (data integration), with changes I was currently doing in my current position (U R HERE) ?
